Vitae Wellnessresorts is the Controller within the meaning of the Personal Data Protection Act and - with effect from 25 May 2018 - the General Data Protection Regulation. (Hereafter referred to as AVG) This privacy statement provides information about the collection and processing of personal data by or on behalf of Vitae Wellnessresorts.

WHAT IS PERSONAL DATA

A personal data is any information about an identified or identifiable natural person. This means that information is either directly about someone, or can be traced back to the person and must be about a natural person.

WHAT DATA IS COLLECTED BY US

If you are a guest staying at one of our Wellness Resorts, making a booking through our reservation system, making a purchase through our website or visiting our website or social media sites, we require certain personal data to provide you with the best possible service during your stay with us.

We value the privacy of our guests and we will treat this personal data confidentially and carefully. Personal data is processed in accordance with the legal provisions as required by the Data Protection Act, and as of 25 May 2018 the AVG.

WHAT PERSONAL DATA ARE PROCESSED BY US?

When making reservations to visit Vitae Wellness Resorts
To make a reservation, we process at least your name, address details, e-mail address, telephone number, nationality, birthday and, in addition, often bank and/or credit card details for financial settlement. In addition, we also collect your preferences and your special requests to Vitae Wellness Resorts

This information is delivered directly to us when you make a booking through our reservation system. When you book through one of our agents, such as an online reservation/ticket provider, we receive this data through the relevant third party.

When making online purchases through the Vitae Wellness Resorts websites
For the purchase of online tickets, package and/or products through the various Vitae Wellnessresorts websites, we process at least your name, address data, e-mail address, telephone number, nationality and, in addition, bank and/or credit card data for financial settlement.

Website visits
If you visit our website, we collect information about your visit to our websites based on data from your browser standard, e.g. automatic recognition of your IP address and surfing and clicking behaviour.

In addition, your personal data is processed if you make a reservation, make an online purchase or leave your details on a contact page or when subscribing to our newsletter.

Social media communications
Vitae Wellness Resorts uses social media plug ins. If you are logged in to a social media site and comment, it may be visible on your social media trial and shared with others in your network.

Use of collected data

We use the data collected to fulfil your reservation, online purchase and/or booking. This may include prior to and during your visit, sending you information or communicating with you about your requirements. Afterwards, we may ask for your feedback on your visit with us in the context of customer satisfaction.

If we have obtained your consent, we may send you personalised communications about products or services that may be of interest to you. We also use the information for analysis and to improve our products, services and advertising.

Your information is only used internally and is not passed on to other organisations or third parties, unless this is a legal requirement or by court order.

SECURITY AND STORAGE OF YOUR DATA IN OUR SYSTEMS

Vitae Wellness Resorts has taken the necessary organisational, technical and physical measures to ensure that your data is stored securely within the systems in our database. This database and software is managed by our ICT department and will be kept up-to-date. The websites are automatically updated with the latest security updates. The server is managed in a heavily monitored data centre and is ISO 27001 certified.

YOUR RIGHTS UNDER THE AVG

Right of access
You have the right to access their personal data and this means you can ask us whether Vitae Wellness Resorts has recorded your personal data and if so, which ones.

Right to correction and deletion
You have the right to request correction of your personal data if they:
- are factually incorrect;
- are incomplete or irrelevant to the purpose for which they were collected;
- are otherwise used in violation of a law.

Scope of the right to correction and deletion
We cannot comply with a request for correction and/or deletion if we are legally obliged to keep your data, or if we need to use your data to establish, exercise and or defend a right in legal proceedings.

Right to object
You have the right to ask us to stop using your personal data if we use your personal data for marketing purposes. In addition, you can exercise the right to object for special personal reasons.

USE OF WIFI

During your stay at Vitae Wellness Resorts, you are not allowed to use your mobile phone. In the reception areas of our Wellness Resorts, there is a Wifi guest network, which is provided by us free of charge. This is done through passive access with a password. The network provides unlimited internet access and is not screened or monitored by Vitae Wellness Resorts.
